1 billion UNI tokens were burned this morning, worth approximately $5.96 billion.
BlockBeats News, December 28, the 1 billion UNI tokens from the Uniswap Foundation Treasury were successfully burned this morning, with a value of approximately 5.96 billion US dollars.
The Uniswap "Launch Fee Switch Proposal" final governance vote was approved two days ago. In addition to burning 1 billion UNI tokens from the Treasury, activating the protocol fee switch will also route protocol fees to programmatically burn UNI, achieving deflation.
