ANIME Creates a New Culture Coin, Shaping the Future of Anime
Anime is not just entertainment, but also a thriving global phenomenon—a bridge that connects imagination with reality, art with culture. Over the past few decades, the anime industry has flourished because of its fans, and now, with the emergence of ANIME, fans are not just spectators; they are transforming into owners, creators, and architects of their beloved anime worlds.
The Revolution of Anime Ownership
ANIME is the world's first true Culture Coin, sparking a revolution that transforms the $300 billion anime industry into a creative network owned by the community. With the global anime industry's value expected to exceed $600 billion by 2030, ANIME provides unprecedented opportunities for fans and creators to collectively shape the future of anime. ANIME is also a creative economy, turning fans' passions into tangible power, making cultural energy a real value.
Culture Coin: When Meme Meets Meaning
Traditional memecoins are all form and no substance, while altcoins lack the meme and culture needed to foster a strong community. In contrast, ANIME integrates community, creativity, and economic freedom, allowing anime enthusiasts to directly become owners of their beloved culture. It redefines fan culture, driving deeper engagement and shared ownership.
Who is Azuki?
Azuki is a premium Web3 anime IP founded in 2021, aimed at creating a decentralized anime brand that enables the NFT community to co-create and contribute to IP and narrative content, forming a community-driven entertainment industry's new model.
Through the creation of 100 sub-communities, a vast fanbase and commissioned art pieces, as well as community-led initiatives globally, the Azuki community strongly demonstrates that in the rapidly evolving anime world, nurturing a brand new IP born in Web3 is possible.
Focused on community, narrative, and technology, Azuki positions itself as a leading Web3 anime brand. Currently, it is partnering with the Animecoin Foundation to redefine the meaning of a modern anime enthusiast. In this new era, anyone can join the anime community, contribute to its development, and become an owner of the cultural explosion happening worldwide.
Azuki has also collaborated with some top international brands, such as F1's Red Bull Racing (during the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Azuki's imagery appeared on one of the Red Bull Racing cars driven by a racer in the race), LINE FRIENDS (Azuki collaborated with LINE FRIENDS to release a physical toy combining Web3 technology, blending LINE FRIENDS' Brown Bear with Azuki's BEANZ IP, displayed at LINE FRIENDS' flagship store in Gangnam, Seoul), and K11 MUSEA (during the golden skateboard auction, Azuki sold 8 gold skateboards, generating approximately $2.5 million in revenue).
In addition, Azuki also collaborated with Dentsu's anime production department to release a three-part anime series titled The Waiting Man, and invited Gorō Taniguchi (known for works such as Code Geass and the top five box office hit One Piece Film: Strong World) to produce. The first episode of The Waiting Man premiered in April 2024 and quickly went viral on YouTube and Weibo. If Azuki owners watched the episode through the azuki.com browser and linked their wallet and two specific NFTs (including an Azuki NFT), they would see their Azuki appear in a scene from the first episode.
In September 2024, Azuki announced the purchase of the domain Anime.com. Currently, the website is not open to the public, and users need to apply to join a waiting list for early access. Furthermore, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fate, Anime.com released a limited edition digital sticker collection.
About the Animecoin Foundation
The Animecoin Foundation focuses on ANIME and its ecosystem, aiming to build a cohesive, thriving global anime community. Its mission is to provide the necessary infrastructure and governance to transform anime culture into an interconnected Web3 network. By leveraging cutting-edge blockchain solutions, the Animecoin Foundation ensures transparency, fairness, and accessibility to fans, creators, and IP holders. Together with Azuki, the Foundation is driving the next wave of anime innovation and interactivity.
Empowering the Global Anime Community
Anime has over a billion fans worldwide and has become one of the fastest-growing entertainment industries globally. In 2021 alone, over 50% of Netflix users watched anime. However, the fan experience has long been one-way and fragmented, but that is changing.
Through ANIME, fans and creators can become co-owners of a whole new creative ecosystem, where fans, creators, IP holders, and other participants collaborate to usher in a new era of anime.
You are invited to join this grand endeavor. ANIME is a call to action to the anime community, urging the community to go beyond being passive consumers and actively participate in shaping the next chapter of this world-class cultural phenomenon.
The world is increasingly becoming animated, and ANIME will accelerate this transformation.
