Arthur Hayes Mentions RIVER as Price Reaches New Highs, 24-Hour Volume Exceeds $3.5B
BlockBeats News, January 7th, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes tweeted about RIVER on X, stating that the token「needs to be listed on more CEXs and DEXs.」
Following the post, RIVER rose from around $19 to nearly $26, an increase of approximately 36%, setting a new all-time high.
Arthur Hayes later tagged major centralized exchanges, including Binance and Bybit, calling for additional exchange listings. The comments followed River’s earlier announcement of a strategic investment from Arthur Hayes‘fund, Maelstrom Fund.
Market data shows that RIVER recorded more than $3.5 billion in aggregate trading volume over the past 24 hours, ranking among the most traded crypto assets globally, behind BTC and ETH. On Binance perpetuals, RIVER recorded ~$2 billion in daily trading volume, exceeding SUI, DOGE, and PEPE.
BlockBeats previously reported that in his article Suavemente, Arthur Hayes said he remains constructive on crypto markets based on his view of global liquidity conditions heading into 2026. The report said Maelstrom Fund entered 2026 nearly fully invested, with core positions in BTC, ETH, and ZEC. Seeking returns beyond majors, the fund has outlined plans to trim part of its ETH holdings and rotate into a basket of higher-growth DeFi assets.
