BlockBeats News, December 4th, according to Caixin, Sun Lei, Global Director of Local and Innovative Payment Products at HSBC's Global Payment Solutions Division, stated in an interview that HSBC has long been devoting resources to promote tokenized deposit services. Even if only 5%–10% of commercial bank deposits are tokenized in the future, it will far exceed the size of any cryptocurrency currently in the market.

Currently, HSBC's private chain follows the same technical standards as Ethereum's EVM-compatible and ERC-20 standards. However, it does not rule out the possibility that some user scenarios may require choosing the public chain's technical route in the future. Regarding whether the next step will involve introducing tokenized loans, HSBC is already discussing relevant programming applications with clients.
