More than a year later, the track isn’t just holding on — it’s still one of the biggest hits in America, as it continues to find space inside the upper reaches of the Hot 100. Shaboozey ties a record set by one of the most successful names in the American music industry this week as millions of people continue to buy and stream the track in huge numbers each and every frame. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Stays High on the Hot 100 “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds at No. 5 on the Hot 100 at the moment. Billboard notes that the tune has now spent 43 weeks inside the top five on the ranking of the most consumed tracks throughout the U.S. The Hot 100 blends sales, streaming activity, and radio play to show what people in the U.S. are actually listening to, making it the most competitive songs list in the country. Only one track has previously spent that much time inside the region. Shaboozey Ties The Weeknd’s Record “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is now tied with “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd for the record of the most frames spent inside the Hot 100’s top five. “Blinding Lights” managed its run between 2020 and 2021, and in the years since, no one has been able to match that streak. Whether Shaboozey will break his tie with The Weeknd is yet to be seen. The tune would need to hold on exactly where it is — or even climb — in order to pass the Canadian R&B/pop star’s showing. That is certainly not impossible, but it’s also difficult to predict for a track that has now lived on the Hot 100 for 55 weeks.
