The European Stablecoin Alliance Appoints Former Coinbase Executive as Chief Executive Officer

BlockBeats News, December 2nd, according to Reuters, the European Stablecoin Association has appointed Jan-Oliver Sell, who previously worked at Coinbase in Germany, as CEO. Floris Lugt, ING's Head of Digital Assets, will serve as CFO, and former Chairman of the UK National Westminster Bank, Howard Davies, will be the Chairman. Additionally, BNP Paribas from France has also joined the alliance.
Previously, nine major European banks including ING, Banca Sella, and KBC announced in September this year that they would jointly launch a Euro stablecoin project regulated by MiCA to counter US dominance in the digital payments field.
