The tool will be deployed alongside Google's Gemini system on the GenAI.mil platform at the highest security level (Impact Level 5), providing dynamic intelligence support for military operations and planning by real-time ingestion of X platform data.
Hegseth stated that this action will create a "decisive advantage" and is a key step in his efforts to rapidly apply artificial intelligence strategies to the defense system unconstrained by ideology. However, critics have raised concerns about system errors, algorithmic biases, and the potential influence of Musk on defense decision-making.
