Base thông báo rằng bản nâng cấp mạng độc lập đầu tiên của họ, Base Azul, đã chính thức hoạt động trên mạng thử nghiệm, với mục tiêu kích hoạt mạng chính vào ngày 13 tháng 5 năm 2026. Bản nâng cấp này là bản nâng cấp cấp độ mạng đầu tiên cho Base, độc lập với OP Stack.
Thông cáo chính thức cho biết Azul sẽ nâng cao tính bảo mật, hiệu năng và trải nghiệm của nhà phát triển ở ba lĩnh vực: Base sẽ kích hoạt cơ chế đa bằng chứng thông qua Azul, base-reth-node sẽ trở thành máy khách thực thi duy nhất của nó, và nó sẽ áp dụng đặc tả lớp thực thi mới nhất (Osaka) để giữ cho Base đồng bộ với Ethereum. Người dùng không cần thực hiện bất kỳ thao tác nào để nâng cấp này.
