Nhóm Lazarus của Triều Tiên sử dụng bộ công cụ phần mềm độc hại macOS để tấn công các công ty tiền điện tử và fintech
Theo CoinDesk, việc giám sát của CertiK cho thấy Nhóm Lazarus đang tiến hành một chiến dịch tấn công mang tên Mach-O Man nhằm vào các giám đốc điều hành trong ngành fintech và tiền điện tử. Chiến dịch này sử dụng các kỹ thuật kỹ thuật xã hội ClickFix, gửi các lời mời họp trực tuyến giả để dụ dỗ nạn nhân dán các lệnh sửa chữa trên các terminal Mac của họ, từ đó truy cập vào các hệ thống công ty và tài chính.
Nhà nghiên cứu CertiK, Natalie Newson, cho biết Nhóm Lazarus đã đánh cắp hơn 500 triệu đô la thông qua các cuộc tấn công vào Drift và KelpDAO trong hai tuần qua. Mach-O Man là một bộ công cụ phần mềm độc hại macOS có tính mô-đun được phát triển bởi bộ phận Chollima của Nhóm Lazarus, có khả năng tự động xóa bản thân sau khi sử dụng để tránh bị phát hiện.
Ngoài ra, những kẻ tấn công đã thực hiện cuộc tấn công này bằng cách chiếm đoạt tên miền của các dự án DeFi và thay thế chúng bằng các thông điệp giả mạo từ Cloudflare.
