BlockBeats News, 4 de diciembre, según el informe de CoinDesk, Connecticut lanzó una ofensiva legal contra el campo de los contratos de eventos deportivos, emitiendo avisos de cese y desistimiento el miércoles a tres operadores principales del mercado de predicción: Robinhood, Kalshi y Crypto.com. El Departamento de Protección al Consumidor del estado acusa a estas compañías de participar en "apuestas deportivas sin licencia".
De acuerdo con el aviso del gobierno estatal, estas compañías tienen "la orden de cesar inmediatamente y desistir de anunciar, ofrecer, promover o de cualquier manera proporcionar contratos u otras formas de juego en línea sin licencia a los residentes de Connecticut".
Robinhood, en respuesta el miércoles, argumentó que la compañía está sujeta a la supervisión del gobierno federal de Estados Unidos.
