BlockBeats News, 1 de diciembre, según Cointelegraph, Ripple Labs ha recibido la aprobación de la Autoridad Monetaria de Singapur para expandir sus actividades de negocio de pagos en Singapur, coincidiendo con su estrategia más amplia de expandir el negocio a través de adquisiciones y hacia servicios institucionales.

Ripple declaró que su filial en Singapur, Ripple Markets APAC, ha sido aprobada por la Autoridad Monetaria de Singapur (MAS) para ampliar su negocio de pagos regulados bajo su licencia de la Principal Institución de Pago (MPI).

La CEO de Ripple, Monica Long, declaró en un comunicado de prensa que la compañía valora "el enfoque regulatorio prospectivo de Singapur", y que esta "licencia ampliada fortalecerá nuestra capacidad para continuar invirtiendo en Singapur y construyendo la infraestructura necesaria para que las instituciones financieras faciliten de manera eficiente, rápida y segura el movimiento de fondos".
