Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ đã không thông qua được cuộc bỏ phiếu thủ tục về dự luật tiền điện tử, và tổng thống đã "tức giận" và đang trao đổi với những thành viên đã ngăn chặn dự luật tiền điện tử được đưa vào Hạ viện. Thất bại của cuộc bỏ phiếu này đã dẫn đến việc ba dự luật tiền điện tử, bao gồm các quy định về stablecoin và dự luật chi tiêu quốc phòng, không thể bước vào giai đoạn xem xét chính thức.
Kết quả bỏ phiếu: 196 phiếu thuận so với 222 phiếu chống, nội dung chính của các dự luật tiền điện tử bao gồm:
