El investigador de la cadena de bloques, ZachXBT, informó que los fondos relacionados con el ataque a KelpDAO han comenzado a transferirse, con aproximadamente 1,5 millones de dólares transferidos entre cadenas desde la red principal de Ethereum a la red de Bitcoin a través de Thorchain, y otros 78.000 dólares aproximadamente transferidos a través de Umbra.
La fuente inicial de fondos para las direcciones de ataque relacionadas provino de Tornado Cash, y el lavado de dinero y las transferencias entre cadenas aún continúan.
